About the Project

“At high street house we’ve created a place for you to live, work and socialise, all from one location. A unique collection of studios and apartments, with a work lounge that allows you to connect globally from the comfort of your home, alongside social and cultural events on your doorstep. It’s a place that extends the concept of home.” Noiascape – October 2020

As part of a large commission for a project in London, we were tasked with delivering a joinery package consisting of bespoke kitchens, beds and bench seats for seven new apartments.

Two of the kitchens were designed using Valchromat throughout, carcasses and doors, for one green and one very striking red communal space.

The rest of the package was manufactured using the Douglas fir that is shown in the photos. It has a much warmer feel than the birch plywood that we often use, and does a great job of cozying up the spaces, preventing the white walls and ceilings from making everything feel too clinical.

To maintain the modern aesthetic, all doors and drawers are handless and the kitchens are finished off with bespoke stainless steel worktops.
