This contemporary half-depth wardrobe was designed to preserve as much of the room’s floor space as possible.
The birch ply and red Valchromat unit is actually built around a narrow chimney breast but, by hiding it behind the mirror, we turned an otherwise awkward space into a singular solution.
Along with six birch ply drawers on Blum Movento soft-close runners, the unit takes full advantage of the available space; housing five cupboards containing adjustable shelves to give the client flexibility over what they store and where.
Running across the base of the wardrobe is a strip of angled shoe storage. This not only saves our clients even more floor space, the angle means it’s easy to slip shoes on and off directly from the rack.
We knew our clients would be using their wardrobe day in, day out so we made sure the mirror was mounted flush with the birch surround to avoid any accidental snags. The whole unit is also finished in a durable, scratch-resistant clear lacquer to protect the surface and lock in the colour.
