Birch Boiler Cupboard

About the Project

Moving into a new house where the boiler is located in the dining room, is probably nobody’s ideal situation. Rather than going through the costly process of relocating it, the clients living in this Sheffield terrace opted to conceal it with this multifunctional bespoke unit.

Composed of a sideboard with doors and drawers, a shoe storage bench, cubbies and two cupboards, this unit not only solves the problem of an unsightly boiler but also adds storage that families with young children so often need.

Although the cupboards, drawers and doors are made from birch plywood, in this instance S Grade, defect free, plywood was chosen for the doors and worktops elevating it beyond regular units.
